I love this song and this band. And I love this US version of the video directed by Nick Brandt, and currently aired in Italy, too. I hope to find a good quality one and post it here. This one is the best I could find on YouTube.com.

Il trailer e la locandina recitavano "oltre il sesto senso, oltre the others, oltre... l'ultima porta". Di fronte a questo preambolo ti aspetti un film horror, o che faccia un po' di "paura" o che almeno parli di fantasmi.
Niente di tutto questo.
"L'ultima Porta - The Lazarus Child", tratto dall'omonimo romanzo (niente da fare: non c'è speranza di avere una storia originale), è un film tra l'altro abbastanza carino che tratta l'argomento del coma e di metodi vagamente fantascientifici per curarlo. I presupposti ricordano "The Cell", senza però il maniaco omicida, ma in una versione soft e rassicurante.
Insomma un film per la famiglia.
Con tutta la buona volontà, l'unico punto d'incontro con i suddetti film è che tra i protagonisti ci sono dei bambini.
Andy Garcia, già visto in passato più volte nel ruolo di padre, col tempo non ha perso il suo fascino né tanto meno la sua bravura. Ottimo anche il ragazzino nella parte del figlio.
La drammaticità della storia, che probabilmente viene ben trasmessa dal romanzo, solo a tratti riesce però a coinvolgere veramente lo spettatore, ma la scontata happy ending rasserena gli animi, facendo però lasciare la sala con una certa perplessità sulle scelte di chi ha seguito la promozione di questo film in Italia.
Una domanda aleggia su tutte: che cosa si è fumato prima di vederlo?
Sempre che l'abbia visto.
